Guillermo (Bill) Quiroga
Guillermo (Bill) Quiroga is director of rural and tribal entrepreneurship initiatives at the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship, University of Arizona. He grew up participating in the formative days of the United Farm Workers in California's Central Valley and went on to lead Native American movements and economic development from Alcatraz Island and South Dakota's Black Hills to the highlands of Guatemala, serving as president of United Native Americans at the University of California, chair of the Affiliation of Arizona Indian Centers, and chair of the first Pascua Yaqui Tribal Housing Authority, among others. He holds a BA in sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara; while earning an MBA at the University of Arizona, he co-authored the business plan for Native American Botanics, a reservation-based company that offers a line of premium-quality freeze-dried whole herb supplements and teas. He is a registered member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona.
